Sweet and Spicy Beer Nuts

Having store-cupboard tricks up your sleeve at this time of year is great for when entertaining, or wanting to gift something home-made. Many of our spice blends would be great with this recipe; try using Chinese Five Spice, Tagine Spice Blend, Baharat or our Aussie BBQ Spice Mix.


  1. Preheat oven to 160C.
  2. Whisk egg white with a whisk for 10 seconds to create a light foam.
  3. Add nuts, spices, sugar and salt and mix thoroughly until well coated.
  4. Spread nuts on a large, lined baking tray and roast for 15 minutes until golden. Turn off oven and leave for another 15 minutes, or until oven completely cools.
  5. Serve with a little extra salt, if desired.
  6. Once cool, store nuts in an airtight container.
