An order by you is an offer by you to purchase a particular product at the price and delivery charges specified in the details of that order. The order must contain your name, email address ( if available ), shipping address, credit card number and the expiry date of your credit card so that Herbie’s Spices can process your order. Herbie’s Spices reserves the right to accept or reject your order for any reason, including, without limitation, an error in the price or an error in the product description posted on the site or the unavailability of any product. There maybe reasons why Herbie’s Spices cannot fulfill your order, therefore your contract with Herbie’s Spices only comes into existence when Herbie’s Spices advises you that it has accepted your order and your payment has been confirmed.
Prices and Products
Information on prices and availability of products and delivery charges are maintained by Herbie’s Spices website. Herbie’s Spices therefore cannot guarantee that all details are current at the time of issue. Prices, availability of products and delivery charges may change at any time and are subject to availability.

Herbie’s Spices sends all orders by Express Post, Parcel Post or Registered Post, so all shipments can be tracked in case there are any delivery problems. The postage cost therefore attracts a minimum charge regardless of order size, and the total postage is calculated during the checkout process. This is because final freight cost depends on the size of your order, and the shipping destination.
A great many of you take advantage of our website to order your spices. It’s the way of the world, ordering whatever you want online, and many online stores offer free shipping. Does anyone really believe that shipping is free? A 500g Express Post bag costs over $12.00 at the Post Office – a little cheaper for us as we buy hundreds at a time and get a little discount. Now let’s face it, someone has to pay for that postage. If a vendor offers free shipping, you can be pretty sure that shipping is loaded into the price. We prefer to give you the honest price of each product, and show you that the postage is added at the end.
We send orders within Australia by Express Post, and use Express Post bags that are most appropriate to the order size. It’s impossible to have a perfect system with online orders – sometimes we are a bit ahead, sometimes we lose a bit. If you order just one pack of spice, you are possibly going to pay more for postage than you do for the spice. Think carefully whether there might be one or two other spices you could use, to make the postage more reasonable for what you’re spending.
Herbie’s Spices will retain title to the products you order until you have made payment in full for those products. The liability for product defects and delivery issues remain the responsibility of Herbie’s Spices who picked and dispatched each unique product within the order.
Herbie’s Spices uses its best efforts to meet the scheduled delivery time, but cannot guarantee to meet those delivery times in every case. Herbie’s Spices will not have any liability to you if any part of your order fails to satisfy in whole or in part the scheduled delivery time.
Orders are dispatched within 2 business days of receipt of the order using Australia Post, either Express Post or an equivalent. Delivery times are then 1 to 5 business days depending on your location within Australia and Australia Post delivery times.
International Orders are sent via Australia Post International Parcels, and delivery is typically 5 – 15 business days. When placing orders for spices from countries other than Australia, it is the responsibility of the customer placing the order to determine whether the said goods are subject to any import restrictions.
Herbie’s Spices accepts returns and will fully refund any order, less the cost of freight, returned to Herbie’s Spices with 4 weeks of date of delivery. Product within the order must be unopened to receive the refund.
