Spicy Scrolls

Our Italian Seasoning, Italian Herbs or Risotto Blend can all be used to make these moreish scrolls.  For something different, try our Cajun Seasong, Chermoula Blend or Mexican Blend. We use a tomato passata instead of paste to keep the centre lovely and moist.

Ingredients

1 x 375g sheet of puff pastry (gluten-free if required)

150ml tomato passata or puree (not paste)

2 tbsp Herbie’s spice blend from above

150200g grated cheddar

Instructions

  • Pre-heat oven to 200C.  Roll out pastry and top with tomato passata, spices and three quarters of the cheese.
  • Roll from the long edge, then cut into 3-4cm slices.
  • Place slices on a lined baking sheet and press gently to flatten slightly.
  • Scatter remaining cheese on top and bake for 15 minutes or until golden.
  • If storing, cool completely first.
