Turmeric is well known as a complement to seafood along with ginger & pepper.
Description & Use
Simply rub the spice blend (with a little salt to taste) on fish such as ling, before pan-frying, grilling or barbecueing.
While there is a lot of interest in the health benefits of turmeric, at Herbie’s Spices we appreciate turmeric primarily as a wonderful spice to flavour food. Turmeric is found in many seafood recipes, as it has the ability to reduce the overly “fishy” ammonia-like notes often detected in seafood.
- Use as a rub on chicken before cooking.
- Dip cauliflower florets in yoghurt seasoned with Turmeric Seafood Rub and roast.
