Description & Use
Herbie’s Spices Jaggery powder is more convenient to use than blocks or cakes. This powder contains no free-flow agents, so may clump during storage. Simply break up any lumps as the product quality is not affected by hardening.
Jaggery is made from boiled down sugar cane juice, and is believed by some to be healthier than white sugar. Jaggery is similar to panela (non-centrifugal raw sugar) and rapadura sugar. The flavour is like soft brown sugar. It is generally seen as large hard chunks or cakes of solid sugar. Please note that in hot weather this product may turn lumpy, soft and a little sticky. Besides the appearance there is nothing wrong with the flavour or the product integrity.
