Description

A convenient dry spice blend for making Nasi Goreng. (SML PKT)

Contains: chilli, garlic, salt, freeze-dried chilli, sugar, amchur (mango), galangal, ginger.

Description & Use: Add to fried rice for a Nasi Goreng flavour. To make a sambal paste, mix one measure of Nasi Goreng spice mix with an equal quantity of water. Add half a measure of oil and stir until blended. Keep refrigerated or use at once.

QUICK NASI GORENG

6 green onions; 3 cups cold, cooked long grain rice; 1-2 tsp
Nasi Goreng Mix; 250g chicken fillet, sliced thinly; 2 rashers
bacon, cut in strips; 1/2 cup cooked peas; 1 tbs each soy &
tomato sauce; 1 tsp fish sauce or shrimp powder; 2 eggs

Whisk eggs and pour into a heated pan to make a thin
omelette. When set, turn out, cool, and cut into thin strips.
Slice green onions, keeping green pieces to one side, gently
fry whiter pieces until soft. Add Nasi Goreng Mix, then meat
and stir-fry 2 minutes. Add sauces then cold rice, mixing to
break up clumps, vegetables and shrimp powder. Stir and
heat through. Add omelette strips at the last moment, and
garnish with onion greens. Serves 4.
