With the much cooler weather we are enjoying curries even  more than usual (which is A LOT).  We have a huge range of Curry Blends, Spices, Recipes and Kits that span the large region of Asia and the wide varieties of curries you’ll find.  From a coconut laden and fragrant Thai curry to a rich, deep and earthy North Indian curry, we have you covered.  And don’t forget curries are also a staple in Africa, Mauritius, Jamaica and the UK.
This could have been an extremely long newsletter and it was hard to choose just six curries, but below is a selection of favourites – and yes, a no-butter Butter Chicken is still just as good!

BUNNY CHOW (DURBAN CURRY)

Bunny Chow (Durban curry in hollowed out bread) has become a South African staple and can be found at food stalls around the world.  A Durban curry differs from Asian and Indian curries as they don’t use cream, coconut, yoghurt or nuts.  In this fun dish, the curry sauce soaks into the bread and you can make individual ‘bunnies’ or a large one for two

LAMB MASSAMAN CURRY

Massaman Curry couldn’t be better on a chilly evening, and gets the vote for our top comfort curry.  This Thai classic has a distinctly Malay heritage, with deep-flavour spices combined with galangal and star anise for a rich and satisfying dish with creamy coconut, peanuts and falling-apart lamb.

CAMBODIAN AMOK FISH CURRY

Sometimes fish gets overlooked a little during the winter months, but having it in a curry is perfect.  This Cambodian Amok Curry is fragrant with a good 6/10 chilli rating, and works well with a combination of seafood such as prawns, mussels and white fish.

HEALTHY BUTTER CHICKEN WITH QUICK CAULIFLOWER PILAF

Trust us, a healthy spin on Butter Chicken is a wonderful, guilt free way to enjoy this classic dish.  Served with a quick cauliflower pilau and coriander yoghurt, it is not only delicious but full of nutrition.  Recipe for classic Butter Chicken is also on the back of pack so you can make both depending on your mood.

SRI LANKAN BEEF RIB CURRY

Inspired by the brilliant Lankan Filling Station restaurant, this delicious, ultra comforting Beef Rib and Butternut Curry is heavy on the coconut and curry leaves, with just the right amount of spice.   If you’re lucky enough to have a brick oven, give this one a go!

CHICKEN KATSU WITH FURIKAKE

Katsu sauce is thickened with a little flour and carrots and is sweet and mild and served with delicious crispy panko-crumbed chicken, which we’ve added Furikake seasoning to. This is the ultimate starter curry for kids and perennial family favourite. Make extra sauce and keep some in the freezer for a quick meal with udon noodles and broccoli
