Spiced Melting Moments
Description
Make these into very dainty buttons by rolling only very small portions of dough before flattening with a fork. The biscuits can be sandwiched together using butter icing, but we perfer them just as the are. These are just as delicious when you substitute Fragrant Sweet Spices for Mixed Spice.

250g butter
1/3 cup icing sugar
2 teaspoons Herbie’s Spices Mixed Spice
1¾ cups plain flour
1/3 cup cornflour
Methods/steps

Beat butter and icing sugar until fluffy and pale.

Sift in the other ingredients and stir to combine. At this stage, the mixture can be wrapped in plastic wrap and kept in the fridge for up to a week.

Make balls by rolling between floured palms, place on baking tray, then press down with a fork until 1cm thick.

Cook at 160ºC for 15 minutes or until golden.
Additional Tips
Once the dough has been prepared, it can be wrapped in plastic wrap and stored in the fridge for up to one week.
Store baked biscuits in an airtight container.
