Homemade Mustard
Description

With Herbie's Spices “Make Your Own Mustard” blend, all you have to do is add one of the following liquids to make enough mustard to fill a 270mL jar.

1 pack Herbie's Spices Mustard "Make Your Own"

125mL vinegar or verjuice

Methods/steps
  1. For a mild wholegrain mustard empty contents of pack (100g) into a mixing bowl.
  2. Add 125mL vinegar (red, white or cider) or verjuice.
  3. Mix thoroughly, seal in glass jar, allow to mature for 3 to 4 weeks.
Additional Tips

Sun-dried tomatoes or other dried herbs or spices may be added to vary the flavour.  Because mustard seeds may absorb moisture at various rates depending on the crop, it is a good idea to check the consistency after 2 weeks and add up to another 75mL liquid to achieve desired texture.
