Description

This is the traditional way to make chai, the spice tea of India.

2 cups milk                            
1 Herbie’s Spices Cassia Bark, broken    
3 Herbie’s Spices Cardamom Pods Green Whole, bruised
2 teaspoons tea leaves                   
2 teaspoons sugar               
6 Herbie’s Spices Cloves Whole (optional)

Methods/steps
  1. Place all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to simmer. 
  2. Take off heat, strain and serve.  
Additional Tips
Alternatively, place cassia and cardamom pods in a teapot with tea leaves, pour boiling water over, and steep for 3 minutes.  Serve without milk, with optional sugar.
