Spice Appreciation: – An Introduction to Spices with Ian ‘Herbie’ Hemphill:

At the Thomas Dux Store in Crows Nest

This is the comprehensive introduction to spices that almost needs no introduction! In this two-hour session Herbie will navigate through the exotic waters of the history of the spice trade. You will smell, taste and learn about many different spices, their origins, how they are processed and traded and most importantly, Herbie will de-mystify their flavours so you will feel comfortable using them in everyday cooking. Thomas Dux’s in house chef, Frederic Girard will be preparing special tastings for all participants.

100% of Registration Fees along with hampers with spices and Spice & Herb Bible 3rd edition book, will be donated to Middle Harbour Public School for their silent fundraiser on Thursday 29th October this year .
